Today marked a brand new chapter in our students educational journey, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you back! The Bangor School Department is thrilled to see all of our students in the classroom, ready to learn, grow, and make new memories. 🚀✨ WEEK 6 SPOTLIGHT: Fairmount Fun in the Sun! ✨🚀 #SpaceDiscoveryWeek 🌌🔬 with the Maine Discovery Museum! 👩‍🚀 What did our future astronauts do? 🤖Engineered robotic arms for space vehicles (NASA, call us! 📞) 👩‍🚀Tested spacesuit materials for durability in space (Spoiler alert: glitter sequins didn't make the cut✨) 🚌 And, to top it all off, we wrapped up with a field trip to the Maine Discovery Museum! Mission Control, we have lift-off! 🌌 Bad News: This was our last week of our summer session! GREAT News: Mrs. White is already planning some REALLY AMAZING before/after school clubs! The Bangor School Committee meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, August 7th, will have a change in entrance location. Attendees are asked to use the administrative entrance of Bangor High School and to follow the signs to the library. This change is to ensure the safety and security of all participants while floor waxing and construction projects wrap up in the building. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to seeing you at the School Committee meeting this Wednesday at 6 PM.

🚨 Fairmount Fun in the Sun WEEK 5 SPOTLIGHT! The kids spent the entire week at Field's Pond Audubon Center! 🌞 🦉 They didn't just STUDY ecology...they LIVED it! 🏆Week 4 Spotlight: Fairmount Fun in the Sun Sports & Nutrition Week! 🏀🥗 🎉 Thanks to a generous donation from Bangor Rentals, we splashed into the week with TWO days of a blow-up waterslide and Slip 'n Slide! 💦 But the fun didn't stop there... Student participated in numerous sports challenges and obstacle courses throughout the week and we wrapped up the fun with an EPIC trip to DR Disc Golf in Orono! 🥏✨ And the cherry on top? 🚨 Gold Found at Fairmount School? 🚨 Week 3 Fairmount Fun in the Sun was a blast TO the past!🌟 ✨ Time Travel Week took our students back to the GOLD RUSH days! Students made sourdough starter from scratch 🍞 They participated in a lasso challenge 🤠 They panned for gold like real prospectors 🏞️ AND they traveled back in time with Cole's Transportation Museum! 🚂 Our kids struck it rich this week! #21stCenturyLearning #FairmountSchool #TimeTravel #GoldRush #EpicAdventures

🌞 Week 2 Fairmount Fun in the Sun! 🌞 Fairmount School's 21st Century Program launched "summer fun" into orbit! 🚀✨ Sarah Raymond from the Challenger Center made sure our students had a blast with a space-themed week! 👩‍🚀 But that's not all... Our young astronauts embarked on a mission at the Challenger Center and they dove into some hands-on STEM activities in the Maine Mobile BIOLAB! Science has never been this cool.🧪🧬🔬 Parents, if you're looking for a program that mixes education with pure excitement, this is IT! 🎉

🌟 Spotlight: Fairmount Fun in the Sun 🌟 Our students just wrapped up an AMAZING week with Smoke & Steel! 🔥 Not only did they learn to cook... THEY COOKED RIGHT AT THE RESTAURANT! 🍴👨‍🍳 Smoke & Steel went ABOVE AND BEYOND. They did more than just show our students how to make a meal; they let them unleash their inner chef right in the heart of the action. Student confidence was increased 🚀 New skills were unlocked 🔧 Smiles were unlimited😊 Thank you so much Smoke & Steel!
