The Fairmount School staff values the learning process and the family’s role in promoting and supporting the education of their children; we encourage and initiate regular communication between home and school regarding the progress of our students. Our teachers have worked together in developing and implementing an instructional program that builds on the skills acquired at the primary level and asks students to obtain and apply information, to think critically, to communicate effectively, and to solve problems across the curriculum. We also encourage students to participate in the many co-curricular activities before and after school to complement their classroom learning.
The prevailing culture and climate of Fairmount School is positive, welcoming of diversity, equity, inclusiveness, and conducive to learning. It is our belief that the educational process should be a combined and continuing effort of the student, teacher, parent and the community.
